Monica (Lopez) Foster’s career as a stylist began in 1995 in San Francisco. She apprenticed at two of the Bay Area's most noted salons: Architects and Heroes and di Pietro Todd. She continues to master her art by pursuing further education and advanced training in all areas of hairstyling. She specializes in beautiful and expressive haircuts and styling — for everyday as well as formal occasions including up-dos, extensions and bridal hair design. Monica believes deeply in connecting with and educating her clients, so they can consistently maintain the style and condition of their hair and feel beautiful every day.
Diana's passion for hair began as a young girl and blossomed into a career in 2003. She has received advanced training from some of the top academies in the industry, such as The Redken Exchange, Vidal Sassoon Academy and Toni & Guy Academy.
She specializes in all aspects of the beauty industry ranging from classic to modern cuts and natural to creative color - as well as extensions and special occasion hair and makeup for your "BIG" day.
She continues to receive advanced education to keep up with the latest styles and trends to improve her expertise to fit her clients' needs. Diana believes in bringing out the beauty in every individual and her priority is to always keep her clients beautiful and happy.
Srutih Asher Colbert
Srutih has been passionate about making hair beautiful since 1985. She trained with Yosh Toya in San Francisco where she spent the bulk of her career traveling the country teaching and inspiring other professionals to cut hair that falls into place effortlessly and grows out beautifully. She spent many years training the staff at Yosh for Hair. Srutih is highly efficient and skilled at precision haircutting, with creativity to match — from a classic shape, sexy long layers, a smooth blowout, to the trendiest cutting edge style, you will leave her chair looking and feeling great.
Debra has been in the hair industry since 1996. She has spent many years working in the Palo Alto area and has an established loyal clientele. In 2013 when she joined Monica Foster Salon, she added an even wider variety of services to our list of offerings. She is an expert in the Redken color line and was trained extensively. She offers Ammonia-Free color in addition to the Fusion Line, both of which are exclusive to Redken. She has an expansive knowledge of various types of hair relaxers, which include Thio, Sodium Hydroxide, Thermal Reconditioning and Keratin Treatments.
Being able to offer many different services makes Debra an all-around stylist, as she is able to encompass all aspects of hairdressing. She has completed various advance training classes that have helped her refresh her cutting style and have kept her excited and inspired with her craft. She continues to nurture her love for her work and her clients, and strives to keep learning to achieve excellence.
Originally from Southern California, Amy began her career in 1992. She received extensive education in haircolor at the Gates Salon in Pasadena and di Pietro Todd in San Francisco. Amy’s artistry includes color corrections and natural looking color techniques. She is truly inspired by the creation of beautiful, dimensional, and healthy hair color.
Sadie developed an interest in hairdressing at a very young age. Her unfaltering love for hair has driven her to where she is today. After graduating from the Redken Academy, she set forth to become an apprentice at Monica Foster Salon in 2011. She has since completed the apprenticeship program and has cultivated quite a strong clientele who are enamored by her friendly attitude, passion and creativity. As a junior stylist, she strives to master all aspects of hairdressing, both in cutting and color. Sadie also adds make-up application and Keratin treatments to her list of specialties. She has ventured out of the salon to attain further advanced training taught by educators from prestigious companies such as Vidal Sassoon, Wella and Oribe.
Sadie's commitment and contribution of talent, skill and excitement truly help complete Monica Foster Salon's creative team. With a bright future ahead of her, she is ready to apply all that she has learned and demonstrate what she is most passionate about.
Cony Kwan apprenticed and qualified as a stylist at Vidal Sassoon San Francisco in 1997. She is an expert in both classic and creative geometric cuts with a goal to better herself every day. Her passion for the latest styles and trends inspires her to constantly evolve. In addition, advanced coloring training at Vidal Sassoon Academy allows her to proudly create the perfect look for her clients, incorporating all aspects of color. Her eye for detail, temperament and masterful skills makes her a premier stylist/colorist.
Le Lu's pursuit for happiness lies in understanding the main form, the human head. A passion for evolution, she is driven to transform her abilities and to define her voice in the fine arts of hairdressing. After graduating from college, she followed her love of the arts in print and media. With 13 years of experience as a stylist, she has traveled all around the world, gathering skills from different genres of art, to constantly push and master the craft of hair styling. Cultivating a discerning, style-conscious sensibility, her skills with shapes and colors has allowed her to create versatile and customized designs for a transient audience and clientele. With an ever-expanding foundation in dynamic cutting and coloring, Le Lu continues to provide her clientele with progressive, cutting-edge styles, adding her own benchmark to the industry's standard in the Bay Area.
Dre is a Bay Area native e with a New York soul. While working in a hospital she realized that she had to go back to her passion for fashion and beauty. This led her to begin her journey through self-growth and education with established companies in the beauty industry.
Early in her career, Dre began her foundation and training with Aveda, Vidal Sassoon Academy and New York City's Bumble and Bumble Design workshop. Later she discovered the art of cutting curly hair through Ouidad New York, the energy and flow of Japanese Haircutting techniques with Masaki Inouem, and the craft of Razor haircutting with Nick Arrojo (from the well known TV show "What Not to Wear"). Dre has also worked extensively with Privè Academy in the art of French haircutting and has been able to work with their creative team in styling runway hair, for New York Fashion Week. She believes in working from the heart and getting to know her client's lifestyles, while creating beautiful "lived in" looks with an organic yet precision approach. Dre continues to work closely with her mentors and "hair family" to gain advanced education while working towards educating future stylist.
Loan started her career as a stylist and colorist in 1997 at Hubert Brown in Palo Alto. Since then she has continued to expand her knowledge in the field of hair coloring and styling attending Bumble&Bumble and Redken color, and cutting classes.
Loan loves listening to her client’s needs, as well as applying her 14+ years of expertise as a hair colorist and stylist for her clients.
